Richard Corey to Speak at the Children’s March for Humanity

Richard Corey speaks Saturday, June 17th, 11:15 am, at Dallas City Hall. Corey, having several decades experience, works to help parents of children damaged by vaccines to recover full functionality through changes in diet and lifestyle. In addition to speaking, PermacultureDenton is donating an Herb Spiral Workshop to be raffled off by the March organizers.  The winner of the raffle will receive an Herb Spiral Workshop and Installation at their home in the DFW Metroplex.  An incredible addition to any landscape, herb spirals are mostly self-sustaining, using a small footprint for an abundance of herbs, flowers, and food.  As the winner of the raffle, you’ll have all those delicious, medicinal herbs at your fingertips, within a few steps of your front or back door.

The PermacultureDenton booth offers the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for an herb spiral workshop (An incredible addition to any landscape, in time, it is mostly self-sustaining.  All those delicious medicinal herbs at your fingertips, within a few steps of your front door… or your back door), one day pass to any day of our amazing Expanded PDC, with lunch included from Juice Lab in Denton TX, or a 2-day pass to our new Children’s Program, PLANET DEFENDERS, beginning in September 2017. Tickets are just $10 each or three for $20.

This is the eighth year for this event and they are expecting quite a turn-out.  The PermacultureDenton booth will be just inside the front doors.  Our team members can’t wait to meet you and talk Permaculture, and Sustainability with you and your family.

Teachers Bond at Green Valley Gardens

The teaching team at PermacultureDenton is committed to being a supportive community in and of itself.  To this end, we had our first potluck since the team formed in May (2017—yes, it’s brand new!) at Matthew Williams’ Green Valley Gardens Permaculture Farm.  After some great eating, we headed over to the gardens for a big harvesting party and everyone went home with a bag of goodies, grown organically.  Matthew is always open to helping people learn about Permaculture and gardening.  He accepts volunteers on the property.  You can contact him through this site or through facebook.  In addition to being a wonderful human being and father, Matthew is part of our AV and Web Development teams, his area of development is videography.  We’re excited to share his videos with you here—coming soon!

PermacultureDenton Welcomes New Director of Children’s Programming

PermacultureDenton is excited to welcome Annette Argabright of Lake Dallas who will be taking on the role of Director of Children's Programming.  Not a small undertaking, Argabright will be developing the program, including Planet Defenders, Permaculture classes and projects for children ages 4 to 11.  With her team, she will endeavor to fulfill the needs of families in the North Texas area in educating their children with skills and experiences that should be their birthright as human beings.  Planet Defenders is sure to be a beloved part of your kids childhood memories, and Annette, Chanel, and Matthew will quickly become some of your children’s favorite buddies.

Nathan Alexander Takes Lead of Web Development Team

After many failed attempts at trading a PDC for a website, we have finally built a solid Web Development team, headed up by Nathan Alexander of Cedar Park.  He joined us for the Teacher Training in May and wanted to join the Teaching Team as much as we wanted to have him.  Nathan has several businesses in addition to being father to 3 girls under the age of 5 years.  He has developed this website and continues to fulfill the desires of the team to make it accessible to all our students and fulfill their needs.  Keep coming back to see our updates, which will include a blog, special instructional articles, as well as videos.  We’re very excited to be working with Nathan and the Web Development team to finally push PermacultureDenton into the arena of technology that will meet the demands of our students and the larger Permaculture community.
